PEERS ®

Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated adolescents in middle school or high school who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. During each group session adolescents are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills in session during socialization activities (e.g. playing sports, board games, etc.).  Program requires parent participation and completion of weekly homework assignments.

Student Profile: Middle or High School aged teens with high functioning Autism or ADHD with a reading comprehension level of 3rd grade or higher. Participants must be motivated to learn new skills to make friends and willing to do weekly “homework” to practice their skills
Prerequisites: Willingness to participate in a screening process to determine suitability.  Ability for both participant and parent to attend all 16 sessions.

Program Length: 90 minute sessions on Tuesday evenings from 5-6:30 for 16 weeks. Parent sessions run from 6-6:30 during simultaneous sessions.
Tuition: $3,000.00
Date: Fall 2018 Session: September 25th – February 5th (No Sessions on November 20th, December 25th, and January 1st)
           Spring 2019 Session: February 12th – June 4th  (No sessions on April 16th)
