Arts & Athletics

The robust Ivymount Arts & Athletics Program provides mainstream extracurricular activity programs for students of all abilities.  Groups are designed and led by Ivymount's Adaptive PE Instructors, Art Therapist, and other highly-trained Ivymount Staff. Each club will have a skill sharing, gallery display or scrimmage at the end of the session.

Art participants will create projects based on Spring themes and the earth! They will explore line, shape, color, texture and form through collage, mixed media, papier mache and painting on canvas. Inspiration for the artwork will come from artists Jackson Pollock, Claus Oldenburg, and Jim Dine.

Athletics will feature fitness and recreational games. Participants will increase their fitness by engaging in cardio workouts, strengthening workouts, stretching, and activities that focus on muscular endurance while using the treadmill, exercise bikes, body bars, yoga balls, and sandbells. Participants will also engage in recreational games that include cornhole, bocce ball, bowling, spikeball, and frisbee!
